Privacy Policy

Last updated September 10, 2026

This Privacy Notice for Triangle Connection LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) describes how and why we access, collect, store, use and share personal information when you use Yapp and its related services (“Services”). It covers Yapp’s websites, application, connected integrations and related support communications.

Questions or privacy requests: cory@coryalthoff.com.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

We collect information you provide, information from services you connect, and information generated when you use Yapp.

Account and workspace information. Google Sign-In provides your account identifier, name, email address and profile image. We store your workspace settings, website and product details, CTA content and links, goals, schedules, uploaded files, prompts, feedback and notification preferences.

Connected services. When you authorize an integration or supply an API key, we access data within the permissions granted. Buffer provides account and organization information, connected channels, profiles, published and scheduled posts, and available post metrics. X and Threads provide authorized profile details, posts, replies and available insights. Google Analytics provides properties and traffic, campaign, landing-page and conversion reports for the property you select. Newsletter services such as Beehiiv provide subscriber and attribution information made available through the connection. Data varies with the service, permissions and features you use.

Sales attribution. If you import subscriber and purchase records, Yapp processes email addresses, subscription dates, acquisition sources, purchase identifiers, amounts, currencies and purchase dates to match subscriptions with later purchases. The current CSV matching feature stores an account-specific keyed identifier derived from email, rather than the raw email address in its matching tables. Such identifiers remain personal information.

Credentials. We store encrypted API keys and OAuth access and refresh tokens to maintain authorized connections. Signing in through an external provider does not give Yapp your password for that provider.

Usage and technical data. Our application and infrastructure may process IP addresses, request timestamps, browser information, diagnostic logs and feature usage to operate and secure Yapp. We do not request device GPS access. Connected analytics reports may include approximate geographic information.

Content you provide or connect may contain personal information about you or other people. Please do not submit sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the service. When importing customer or subscriber data, you are responsible for having the appropriate authority to provide it.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

We process information to provide, improve and administer Yapp, communicate with you, maintain security and comply with law.

Specifically, we use it to authenticate your account; connect your selected services; synchronize profiles, posts and schedules; measure CTA views, landing-page visits and goal outcomes; generate funnel reports; match subscriber and purchase records for attribution; deliver requested CTA alerts; and provide support.

When you use AI-assisted content or analysis features, relevant prompts, content, workspace context and selected performance information may be sent to the AI provider used by that feature to generate the requested response. These features may use providers such as OpenAI or Anthropic. Avoid including information you do not want processed for that purpose.

Connected-service permissions are used to provide the features you request. Connecting an account does not give Yapp unrestricted access to every type of data held by that provider.

Google API data. Yapp uses Google account and Analytics data to provide its sign-in, reporting and user-facing analysis features. Yapp’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google API data is not used for targeted advertising or sold to data brokers.

3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

Performance of a contract. We process account, workspace and connected-service information as needed to provide the Yapp features you request.

Legitimate interests. Where applicable, we process information to maintain security, diagnose service issues and provide support, taking account of your rights and interests.

In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e., legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.

If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:

Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission (i.e., consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Learn more about withdrawing your consent .

Legal Obligations. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

Vital Interests. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of a third party, such as situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.

If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you.

We may process your information if you have given us specific permission (i.e., express consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose, or in situations where your permission can be inferred (i.e., implied consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

In some exceptional cases, we may be legally permitted under applicable law to process your information without your consent, including, for example:

If collection is clearly in the interests of an individual and consent cannot be obtained in a timely way

For investigations and fraud detection and prevention

For business transactions provided certain conditions are met

If it is contained in a witness statement and the collection is necessary to assess, process, or settle an insurance claim

For identifying injured, ill, or deceased persons and communicating with next of kin

If we have reasonable grounds to believe an individual has been, is, or may be victim of financial abuse

If it is reasonable to expect collection and use with consent would compromise the availability or the accuracy of the information and the collection is reasonable for purposes related to investigating a breach of an agreement or a contravention of the laws of Canada or a province

If disclosure is required to comply with a subpoena, warrant, court order, or rules of the court relating to the production of records

If it was produced by an individual in the course of their employment, business, or profession and the collection is consistent with the purposes for which the information was produced

If the collection is solely for journalistic, artistic, or literary purposes

If the information is publicly available and is specified by the regulations

We may disclose de-identified information for approved research or statistics projects, subject to ethics oversight and confidentiality commitments

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We share information as necessary to operate the features described in this notice, with service providers and connected services, or when required by law.

Service providers. Railway hosts the application and database. Cloudflare R2 stores encrypted recovery backups. Email delivery services such as Resend process recipients and message contents for alerts. AI providers used by a feature process the inputs needed for that feature. PostHog processes limited product-usage events such as section visits, onboarding steps, and CTA or funnel creation, linked to a pseudonymous account identifier. These events do not include CTA text, destination URLs, email addresses, subscriber records, or payment details. We do not enable PostHog session recordings or automatic content capture. Connected analytics, social and newsletter providers process requests made through their integrations. The providers involved depend on your configuration and the features you use.

Customer data. When a business uses Yapp to process its subscriber or customer records, we use those records to provide that business’s requested reporting and attribution features. If you are that business’s customer, you can contact the business about its own data practices and rights requests.

We may disclose information when necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect rights or investigate abuse. Information may also be involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to applicable restrictions and required notices or consent. Google API data remains subject to Google’s Limited Use restrictions, including restrictions on transfers and human access.

We do not sell personal information or share connected-account data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable legal safeguards.

5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

Yapp uses cookies to keep you signed in and secure OAuth connection flows, and browser storage to remember preferences and interface state. Blocking these may prevent sign-in or connections from working.

Yapp reads campaign tags, such as UTM parameters, and analytics supplied by your connected services to report attribution. Your own websites and those providers may use their own cookies or tracking technologies under their policies. Connecting Google Analytics to Yapp allows us to read authorized reports; it does not itself install tracking code on your website.

6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Yapp retains account and workspace information, imported content, reporting history and credentials as needed to provide the service and maintain authorized connections. Disconnecting a service removes the credential used by that connection but does not automatically erase previously imported posts, reports, CTAs or attribution records. You may also revoke access in the provider’s account settings.

To request deletion of your Yapp account or imported data, email cory@coryalthoff.com from your account email and identify the account or data concerned. We may verify your identity and process requests manually. A received or pending request is not confirmation that deletion has finished. Recovery backups can retain older copies until they are removed under our backup retention practices; this notice does not promise immediate erasure from every backup.

7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

Yapp uses HTTPS for its production service, encrypts stored integration credentials, limits application access by account and maintains recovery backups. These measures reduce risk but do not guarantee that every security incident can be prevented.

8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18 or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction, please contact us at cory@coryalthoff.com .

9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time, depending on your country, province, or state of residence.

In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. If a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated means, we will inform you, explain the main factors, and offer a simple way to request human review. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. You can make such a request by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section " HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE? " below.

We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

If you are located in the EEA or UK and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your Member State data protection authority or UK data protection authority .

If you are located in Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner .

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section " HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE? " below.

However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at cory@coryalthoff.com .

10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Yapp disables optional product-usage event collection when your browser sends Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC). This does not disable essential authentication, security, or reporting you request through connected accounts.

11. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

Depending on your state of residence and the law applicable to us, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent or opt out of certain processing. We will consider requests under applicable law.

The information Yapp processes can include identifiers (account IDs, names and email addresses), customer records and commercial information (subscription and purchase details you import), internet activity and analytics, profile images and social content, business information you supply, and derived attribution and performance information. Which categories apply depends on the integrations and features used. We do not collect biometric identifiers or request precise device location for Yapp’s features.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may exercise applicable rights by emailing cory@coryalthoff.com. We may need to verify your identity or the authority of an agent acting for you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. If we deny a request, you may appeal by contacting the same address; you may also contact your state’s regulator where available.

California residents may also request information about disclosures for third-party direct marketing under California’s Shine the Light law by contacting us.

12. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification.
